4 major takeaways from the Lions vs. Saints matchup in Week 4

The Detroit Lions and New Orleans squared off during Week 4 of the 2020 NFL season. The outcome ended up being an impressive 35-29 win for the Saints at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

To start this game, the Lions got off to a hot start— scoring the initial two touchdowns to take a quick 14-0 lead. However, the Saints found the end-zone on their four remaining possessions before halftime to take a 28-14 lead through this point.

The Saints built on their lead immediately after halftime by finding the end-zone once again— making the score 35-14. New Orleans failed to score another point for the rest of this game, but they didn’t need to since the Lions needed to score on all of their remaining possessions but failed to do so.

It has been a rough start to the season for the Lions as they now hold a 1-3 record entering their Week 5 matchup with the Jaguars. Meanwhile, the Saints face a 2-2 start and will have to fend off a tough Chargers team in their next outing.

With that being said, let’s take a look at four major takeaways from the Detroit Lions vs. New Orleans Saints matchup in Week 4 of the 2020 NFL season.
