To start this game, the Lions got off to a hot start— scoring the initial two touchdowns to take a quick 14-0 lead. However, the Saints found the end-zone on their four remaining possessions before halftime to take a 28-14 lead through this point.

The Saints built on their lead immediately after halftime by finding the end-zone once again— making the score 35-14. New Orleans failed to score another point for the rest of this game, but they didn’t need to since the Lions needed to score on all of their remaining possessions but failed to do so.
