1. Mike Evans Bounced Back in a Major Way

When the Buccaneers faced off with the Saints in Week 1, it was clear Mike Evans was being limited by injury. It was a real struggle for him to make an impact beyond being mostly a decoy to take some pressure off his teammates to help them make plays.

Against the Panthers, Evans was clearly the Buccaneers’ most productive receiving threat. He managed to rack up seven catches, 104 receiving yards, and one touchdown grab. It’s clear he made real strides in the recovery process from just a week ago.

With Chris Godwin sidelined for Week 2, there was a clear need for Evans to step up and set the tone for the Buccaneers’ passing attack. It’s safe to say Evans did precisely that as he accounted for almost half of Tom Brady’s passing yards.

It was intriguing to see Evans return to his typical star impact. It will help raise the floor of their offense in a meaningful way, which is especially important as Brady continues to build chemistry with his new teammates early in the season.
