1. Russell Wilson Maximized the Seahawks’ Offense
The Russell Wilson MVP campaign is off to a hot start. Managing to lead the Seahawks to a win over the Patriots after putting together both a truly dynamic and efficient outing will be a staple on his resume.
By the time Wilson’s performance was over, he managed to complete 21-of-28 (75.0%) pass attempts resulting in 288 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception. Additionally, he chipped in 39 rushing yards on five attempts.
Perhaps the most fascinating element of Wilson’s performance was that he managed to throw each of his touchdown passes to a different pass catcher. He tossed one out to DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, David Moore, Chris Carson, and Freddie Swain.
The ability Wilson has to make his teammates better was on full display in this matchup. Going up against a tough Patriots defense is quite the opponent to achieve the level of results he managed to provide the Seahawks’ offense.
