The Panthers’ Defense Is No Longer Close To Elite

Carolina recently had one of the most feared defenses in the NFL. With stars like Luke Kuechly, Thomas Davis, Josh Norman, and more, the Panthers were a team that no opposing offense wanted to face.

Unfortunately, those days are long gone. They gave up 34 points to the Raiders and didn’t look remotely good doing it.

Kuechly chose an early retirement this offseason, which shocked the Panthers. It was a sad day for the franchise and it’s obvious that they miss him. The Panthers have a lot of work to do to rebuild their defense.

This will be a major concern for the Panthers all season long. If the Raiders can dominate them like they did, imagine what will happen with an even better offense. It could be a long year for fans on the defensive side of the ball.
