The Philadelphia Eagles played host this week to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2 of the 2020-21 NFL season. The Eagles were looking for their first win of the year after a defeat at the hands of the Washington Football Team last week. The Rams, after a victory in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys, had their sights set on a 2-0 record.
In the 37-19 loss, the Eagles began the game with a turnover and that pretty much set the tone for the day. While the Eagles would put up a fight in the second and third quarters, the Rams proved to be just too much to handle.
Carson Wentz continued to play uninspired ball and the Eagles’ defense held up as long as they could waiting for the offense to get things right.
The Rams, led by Jared Goff (267 yards, 3 TD), answered each time the Eagles made a run. While the defensive line did not register a sack against Wentz, they were still able to provide pressure which forced the QB to either over or underthrow his receivers.
Here are four major takeaways from the Los Angeles Rams vs. Philadelphia Eagles matchup in Week 2 of the 2020 NFL season.
