4. Slow Start Was Troubling For Dolphins

The Dolphins began the game with possession of the football but failed to make the most of it. In fact, Miami put themselves in a tough position by throwing a pick from their own 42-yard line on the opening drive.

The Seahawks took full advantage of the favorable starting field position they faced— pulling off a touchdown drive to take a quick 7-0 lead.

With a chance to answer back, the Dolphins’ offense failed to get going once again. Miami punted the ball away after a three-and-out and it wasn’t until their third possession of the game that they put points on the board.

Failing to find the end-zone in the opening half proved to be costly for the Dolphins. They recorded three consecutive drives— each producing a made field goal. Miami faced a 17-9 disadvantage at halftime.
