1. Dolphins Didn’t Let Russ Cook
The expectations have become sky high for Russell Wilson since he’s emerged as one of the NFL’s elite quarterbacks. While the Seahawks came away with a win against the Dolphins, he didn’t need to carry them.
Wilson ended his performance by completing 24-of-34 (70.6%) pass attempts resulting in 360 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. It’s important to note, each of the Seahawks’ top receivers had crucial 3rd down drops— costing Seattle potential scoring drives.
The Dolphins didn’t let a quarterback who had 14 touchdown throws entering Week 4 to find the end-zone more than twice. That’s no easy feat, to say the least.
It’s actually probably better for the Seahawks they managed to pull off wins despite Wilson not having his best individual performances. That may be required in playoff matchups since it’s difficult for a quarterback to carry a unit in such situations.
