The Houston Texans’ Offense Came Up Big In Many Key Moments
It’s tough for any team to rally back from a double-figure deficit. The margin for error becomes quite thin and requires making big plays on conversion downs and making the most of every trip to the red-zone.
The Texans were quite successful on conversion downs by going 7-of-14 (50%) on 3rd down and were perfect on three tries on 4h down. Let’s not forget, Houston also managed to go a perfect 3-of-3 (100%) on their trips to the red-zone, too.
The pivotal touchdown that set up the Texans’ potential game-deciding two-point conversion attempt was the product of going for it on 4th & Goal from the one-yard line. Recording a 53-yard touchdown strike in the second half was also a pivotal showcase of Houston’s offense stepping up in a big way.
The biggest play of all that Houston needed to make was the two-point conversion with the game on the line. The Texans came up short in that situation, but we’ll get into that a little later…
