Russell Wilson Continued His MVP Campaign

The list of viable MVP candidates is never long during any given season. Russell Wilson was thought of before the season as being one of the players in contention and he has certainly solidified that with his play.

During this matchup, Wilson completed 20-of-32 (62.5%) pass attempts for 217 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. In addition, he rushed five times and totaled 58 yards in the ground game.

It’s not easy to pull off a game-winning drive, but especially one that requires moving the ball 94 yards. Wilson did so by evading pass rushers and throwing accurate strikes downfield. Even pulling off a touchdown pass to DK Metcalf on 4th & Goal.

So far this season, Wilson has put up elite numbers while leading the Seahawks to a 5-0 record. It’s still too early to make serious declarations about MVP leaders, but if there was a leaderboard now, he’d be atop the list.
