The Cleveland Browns and Washington Football Team squared off in an intriguing Week 3 matchup. While it was a good game for the most part, the Browns ended up pulling away late. They took the game over Washington by a final score of 34-20 after scoring 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter.
Baker Mayfield still didn’t have the dynamic performance that the Browns have been wanting to see, but he completed 16 of his 23 passes for 156 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. Nick Chubb was a workhorse on the ground once again with 108 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries.
For Washington, Dwayne Haskins had a rough game. He completed 21 of 37 passes for 224 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions. Ron Rivera was adamant about sticking with the second-year quarterback following the game.
Both of these teams are looking to make a playoff push. However, the Browns are expected to make the playoffs while Washington is a year or two away from serious contention.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at four major takeaways from the Washington vs. Browns matchup in Week 3.
