4 major takeaways from Titans vs. Broncos matchup in Week 1

3. Corey Davis Was Highly Impressive

When discussing the Titans’ offense, the main receiver that gets brought up is A.J. Brown, and rightfully so. However, it’s important to give proper respect to Corey Davis and he displayed why that’s the case with a strong outing against the Broncos.

By the time Davis’ performance ended, he had hauled in 7 of the 8 passes thrown his way — racking up 101 receiving yards. There wasn’t a single player on either team that managed to outproduce him in receiving yardage during this matchup.

Perhaps the greatest example of Davis’ potential occurred when he completely threw a defensive back to the ground using a stiff arm.

If Davis can continue to provide a strong impact for the Titans, it’s going to be difficult to stop their offense. He could form an impressive receiver duo with Brown and the team also has Adam Humphries in the mix, too.
