The New Orleans Saints Got By…But That’s It

In recent years, the New Orleans Saints have thrived on offense and stacked up closely with some of the NFL’s most high-powered units. They have taken a step back this season.

The Saints’ defense has also not been quite as effective as it has shown to be over the last few seasons. Even the key foundational talents like Marshon Lattimore and Cameron Jordan have not been consistently making a strong impact in their own right.

It wasn’t until the fourth quarter that New Orleans managed to put together multiple scoring drives together within the same period. They also needed the Chargers to miss a very make-able potential game-winning field goal to have the chance to win in OT.

It’s going to be difficult for the Saints to pull off a Super Bowl if they don’t clean things up. Their latest performance displayed some of the areas that will require improvement.
