The New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys faced off in an NFC East rivalry showdown during Week 5 of the 2020 NFL season.
It was the Giants that took control of this game early— jumping out to a 17-3 early in the second quarter. However, the Cowboys rallied back by scoring three touchdowns compared while holding New York to just a field goal. Overall, it was Dallas that led 24-20 at halftime.
The second half featured plenty of momentum swings and also included an unfortunate season-ending injury to Dak Prescott. Ultimately, the Cowboys rallied and pulled off a game-winning drive that ended with a made field goal from 34-yard out— resulting in a 37-34 win.
The Cowboys improved to 2-3 on the season by coming away with a victory. Dallas will take on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. As for the Giants, they have yet to come away with a win this season and will face the Washington Football Team as their next opponent.
