New York Giants Are Off To A Brutal Start To The Season

There isn’t really any coming back from an 0-5 start to the season for any team. However, most teams aren’t playing in a division as terrible as the NFC East happens to be this season, so that’s a silver lining.

The season-ending injury to Saquon Barkley only accelerated the Giants’ struggles. The offense was already struggling to execute but losing a franchise building-block in the backfield is a truly depleting circumstance to have to overcome.

Something to take into consideration, the Giants had to go up against some tough defenses prior to this week. For reference, New York faced the Steelers, Bears, 49ers, and Rams to start the season. It will be fascinating to see how they execute against easier opponents.

If the Giants fail to get the job done over the next two weeks when they take on the rest of the NFC East, it will be overdue to start thinking about the 2021 NFL Draft.
