Dak Prescott’s Injury Is Highly Unfortunate

The Cowboys may have come away with a win in this game, but the focus is all on the unfortunate ankle injury that franchise-quarterback Dak Prescott had suffered. The hope is that he makes a full recovery and can return to the lineup to start the 2021 season.

Prescott will almost surely miss the remainder of the 2020 season— requiring Andy Dalton to fill in as the starting quarterback.

There will be some changes needed from head coach Mike McCarthy to adjust with Prescott sidelined. Ezekiel Elliott will surely become more of a prominent focus of the offense as a ball carrier.

Even without Prescott, the Cowboys face a realistic chance to contend in the NFC East. However, it will be an uphill climb unless Dalton can perform at a high-level.
