4 major X-Factors to watch from the Browns vs. Ravens matchup in Week 1

Cleveland Browns, Baker Mayfield

Baker Mayfield

The Browns will only be able to go as high as their quarterback takes them, and last season that was not very high. After a stellar rookie season, Baker Mayfield took a step back even though the talent was all around him in Cleveland.

With star wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry opening up the field, there really is no reason that Mayfield shouldn’t be lighting up defenses each week.

Mayfield will need to make his mark early in this game as the teams look to keep pace with some offensive fireworks. If Mayfield is careless with the ball and gives Baltimore additional opportunities, then Cleveland can just move on to Week 2.

Mayfield will have to show that he has moved on from his rocky sophomore campaign and is ready to be the leader the Browns need him to be.
