4 major X-Factors to watch from the Cardinals vs. 49ers matchup in Week 1

Isaiah Simmons

The No. 8 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Isaiah Simmons comes to Arizona as a highly-touted linebacker. And Kliff Kingsbury knows it so much that he’s said they’ve created “unique packages” specifically for the athletic Simmons.

Now, in Week 1, Simmons might not see as many snaps. The Cardinals have a fairly deep linebacker group, and Simmons most likely will be competing with DeVondre Campbell for reps on the inside, paired with Jordan Hicks.

However, if your coach is making packages specifically to fit your talents, most likely he has a bit of trust in you. That makes Simmons a must-watch player in Week 1 of NFL action.

Simmons could be an absolute animal and with an average 49ers’ offense, it could be a solid matchup to see how Simmons fits in at the top level of football.
