4. Washington LBs vs. Philadelphia TEs

The Eagles have an edge over many teams in the tight end department. Zach Ertz is one of the top players at the position in football while Dallas Goedert has been productive in his own right. This is a position that the Washington Football Team has had difficulty guarding over the years.

Ertz is an elite pass catcher. He holds the first and third spot on the Eagles’ all-tie list for receptions in a single season. He landed at No. 3 after finishing with 88 catches last season.

Both Ertz and Goedert are red zone threats. With a thin receiving corps in Week 1, they will have to step up. Washington will need their linebackers to step up and defend the position. They will have this responsibility as well as stopping the run.

Washington’s pass rush will be focused on getting to the quarterback. This leaves a ton of pressure on the linebacking group. Whoever gains an edge in this key matchup will have an easy time.
