Gardner Minshew

The Jaguars made plenty of key changes in the offseason. While some disgruntled standouts wanting a change of scenery has caught the headlines, there’s more to consider. Jacksonville added Jay Gruden for the offensive coordinator role.

Perhaps the player that will be impacted the most from a new offensive coordinator is Gardner Minshew. The Week 1 matchup with the Colts will. be his first opportunity to perform in a different system.

The results Minshew displayed in 2019 for the Jaguars were impressive, particularly for a sixth-round pick in his rookie year. Now, the expectations have been raised and he will need to put up huge production in order for Jacksonville to not be among the league’s worst.

There’s a lot on the line for Minshew in 2020. While the Jaguars could end up getting a sufficient draft placement to take an elite quarterback prospect, Minshew could showcase his talent for the rest of the NFL to prove he’s a legitimate option to pursue.

It all starts against the Colts.
