C.J. Henderson
The greatest silver-lining to having a bad season is the ability to add an intriguing prospect in the NFL Draft. For the Jaguars, they landed the No. 9 overall selection and used it to bring in an intriguing cornerback in C.J. Henderson.
It can take time for corners to get acclimated to the NFL level, especially when lining up against some of the more dynamic talents. The Colts have a combination of intriguing receivers in T.Y. Hilton as the No. 1 option and likely Michael Pittman Jr. filling in as a secondary option.
It’s not yet known who Henderson will have to check against the Colts. Regardless, he will have a key role in helping the Jaguars being able to slowdown Indianapolis enough to give the offense a chance to compete.
If the Jaguars do end up having Henderson take on the top opposing receiver at some point, he will have no shortage of challenges to showcase his potential. The question is, will that come as early as Week 1 when Jacksonville takes on the Colts?
