4. A.J. Green
It wasn’t all that long ago since A.J. Green was one of the NFL’s top wide receivers. He possesses a rare combination of quickness and a stop-and-start ability that makes him a dangerous route runner and versatile threat. Not many defenders can handle that kind of assignment.
After missing all of the 2019 season, Green made his return to game action for the Bengals in Week 1. He managed to provide Cincinnati’s offense with five catches for 51 yards. He was possibly wrongfully held back by officiating from a touchdown in clutch time to possibly win the game, too.
It’s clear that Green still has a lot of great football left to play. However, there is still plenty more levels to reach after playing just one game after such a long absence. If he can tap into his previous form, the Bengals’ offense could become highly intriguing.
The Bengals have enough complementary receiving options that if Brown can set the tone as a legitimate No. 1 option, he will open things up for the whole unit. Could Cincinnati’s Week 2 matchup with the Browns feature that type of outing from him?
