Cowboys’ Defensive Line

It wouldn’t be fair to single out specific members of this Cowboys defensive line. Two weeks into the 2020 season, they are not exactly lighting up any stat sheets just yet.

Both the Rams and Falcons have posted real issues for the Cowboys’ defensive line, leading to big performances for the opposing offense. It’s crucial they manage to turn things around ahead of Week 3.

This time around, they have the task of containing Russell Wilson in Week 2. Through two weeks, the Cowboys defense has only logged two sacks. These two belong to the two newest members to the defensive line, Everson Griffen and Aldon Smith.

Wilson has sat back and thrown nine touchdowns in his first two games but has been hit plenty. The Cowboys’ defensive line has to keep him in the pocket to allow it to collapse around him. If Wilson flushes outside, that’s where he’s most “Danger-Russ.”
