4 major X-Factors to watch in the Packers vs. Saints matchup in Week 3

Emmanuel Sanders, Wide Receiver, Saints

Let’s stick with the wide receiver position on the other side of the equation. No matter the status of Michael Thomas for this week’s matchup, the Saints are going to need a good game from Emmanuel Sanders.

Sanders was signed in free agency to be a weapon across from Thomas. Unfortunately, through the first two weeks, he has not been able to make much of an impact. He has caught just four passes for 33 yards and a touchdown.

The Packers have a very talented cornerback duo in Jaire Alexander and Kevin King. They make things very difficult on opposing passing attacks. Drew Brees will need his No. 2 weapon to step up this week.

If the Saints get a quality performance from Sanders, their offense will be much more dangerous. On the other hand, if they don’t, New Orleans could struggle to move the football consistently against Green Bay.
