4 needs for the Minnesota Vikings in NFL free agency

Offensive Line

There has been a lot of attention placed on the Vikings’ offensive line and head coach Mike Zimmer highlighting it in comments only added to it. It’s clear there is a need for improvement and making an addition or two in free agency would help.

One spot that particularly struggled on Minnesota’s offensive line last season was both guard positions. Pat Elfein and Garrett Bradbury were underwhelming in their production and there seems to be a chance Riley Reiff is released, too.

With the emphasis the Vikings place on their rushing attack and a lack of an overly mobile quarterback, maintaining effective interior offensive line play is a necessity. Even if they go with a buy-low option, they at least need to try something different.
