4 perfect backfield options for the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason

The Kansas City Chiefs were able to secure their first Super Bowl victory since 1969 in 2019. As expected, the offense — led by Patrick Mahomes — were the catalysts to Kansas City defeating the San Francisco 49ers.

In the Super Bowl, Damien Williams was phenomenal as he totaled 133 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns out of the backfield.

Just in the past two seasons, Williams has been a dynamic weapon for the Chiefs in the playoffs — scoring 10 touchdowns in that span. However, as good as Williams has been in the postseason, the Chiefs could be looking to pair him with another running back this offseason.

Ahead of free agency, Kansas City has just $16.5 million in cap space, according to Spotrac. Given their limited funds, the Chiefs would likely sign a cheap option in free agency or address the running back position in the 2020 NFL Draft.

All that being said, here are four perfect backfield options for the Chiefs this offseason.
