4 perfect backfield options for the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason

D’Andre Swift

In all likeliness, the Chiefs are going to find their next running back in the 2020 NFL Draft. Entering the draft, Kansas City possesses the No. 32 pick in the first round.

Either at the end of the first round or if they trade back to accumulate more picks, the Chiefs could target D’Andre Swift. Swift proved at Georgia that he can be an every-down running back and is an underrated receiving threat.

Even though he wasn’t asked to be a receiver much in college, Swift didn’t show anything worrisome as a pass-catcher. That is great news for a Chiefs team that loves to get their running back involved in the passing attack.

Also, at 5-foot-9, Swift isn’t afraid to put his shoulder into a defender to gain extra yards. If the Chiefs want to select a running back in this year’s draft, Swift is a viable option.
