4 perfect backfield options for the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason

Jonathan Taylor

As previously mentioned, the Chiefs are in need of a workhorse running back that could work in unison with Williams. In this year’s draft class, there are going to be teams that are cautious of selecting Jonathan Taylor out of Wisconsin.

During his three years at Wisconsin, Taylor was the ultimate work-horse back as he totaled 926 carries in college. Due to his strenuous workload, teams may be concerned with the tread he already has on his tires.

Additionally, Taylor flashed an unknown receiving ability in 2019. The junior rusher hauled in 26 passes for 252 yards and five touchdowns this season.

Nevertheless, Taylor is a powerful running back that initiates contact in the open field. Even with a massive workload in college, the Chiefs can make it easier on him as he shares touches with Williams.
