Jeff Okudah, Cornerback, Ohio State

Next up, the Lions are widely expected to fill their need at cornerback in the 2020 NFL Draft. With the No. 3 overall pick, Detroit must take Ohio State cornerback Jeff Okudah. He would be an immediate impact piece for the franchise.

In 2019 with the Buckeyes, Okudah ended up compiling 35 total tackles to go along with two forced fumbles, three interceptions, and nine defended passes. Okudah has elite coverage skills and would be an instant starter. Detroit can’t afford to pass that kind of talent up.

Detroit can’t afford to overthink the decision to draft him at No. 3. Okudah would be a huge step in the right direction towards rebuilding their defense.
