4 perfect offensive targets for the Atlanta Falcons this offseason

The Atlanta Falcons got off to an incredibly rough start in 2019. While they picked things up down the stretch and gave the fans a reason for optimism entering the offseason, their rough start ended up making them miss the playoffs. Now, the team has to find ways to improve and re-tool.

Matt Ryan and Julio Jones appear to be locks to return for the 2020 season. Atlanta will not be blowing things up, as they made apparent with the decision to keep head coach Dan Quinn and general manager Thomas Dimitroff for at least one more year.

In order to make the leap back into the playoffs, however, the Falcons will not be able to stand pat this offseason. Roster overhaul is something that every team that wants to stay in contention from year to year has to go through. Atlanta will need to bring in more talent around their two offensive cornerstones.

Needless to say, the Falcons are going to be fun to watch this offseason. With a hint of desperation, they could look to open their checkbook to bring in talent in free agency. There are also quite a few players they could look to bring in via trade or through the 2020 NFL Draft.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at four offensive targets the Falcons should look to pursue this offseason.
