4 perfect offensive targets for the Carolina Panthers this offseason

Heading into the upcoming NFL offseason, the Carolina Panthers are entering a new era of football. Matt Rhule was hired to replace Ron Rivera as head coach and the future at quarterback with Cam Newton is uncertain. One thing that is certain is the fact that the Panthers need to add more talent to the offensive side of the football.

Obviously, quarterback is going to be a primary need for the Panthers unless they decide to keep moving forward with Newton. It seems unlikely that they would make that choice. Free agency is definitely packed with quarterback talent or the Panthers could look into young quarterbacks in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Christian McCaffrey is one of the most talented running backs in the NFL. He has become a superstar and will make Rhule’s life much easier.

However, if the Panthers want to get back into playoff contention, they need to make moves. Carolina also lost Luke Kuechly this offseason, which means that they can’t rely on their defense as much as they have in the past. The offense cannot afford to be inconsistent moving forward.

All of that being said, let’s take a look at four potential targets that the Panthers could look at on the offensive side of the ball between free agency and the NFL Draft.
