4 perfect offensive targets for the Dallas Cowboys this offseason

Denzel Mims

Instead of spending a decent amount of money in free agency, the Cowboys could go the cheaper route of drafting a wide receiver. With the team needing some help in the secondary early in the draft, it’s probable that Dallas will consider drafting a receiver in the middle rounds.

On day two of the draft, the Cowboys could find themselves selecting Denzel Mims out of Baylor. Mims, a Texas native, showed off his big-play ability in college despite inconsistent quarterback play.

In his final season at Baylor, Mims hauled in 66 receptions for 1,020 yards and a personal best 12 touchdowns. There’s a decent chance that Mims’ draft stock soars after he impresses teams at the NFL combine.

Standing at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, Mims is a bigger-bodied receiver that excels at making contested catches. Regardless if Prescott is playing on the franchise tag or a new long-term deal, he would enjoy getting a weapon like Mims in the offense.
