4 perfect offensive targets for the Dallas Cowboys this offseason

Tyler Johnson

To keep the theme of going through the draft, there are plenty of other options in this year’s class. If the Cowboys don’t want to take a receiver in the first couple of rounds, Tyler Johnson could be someone to keep an eye on.

Considering how deep this year’s class of receivers is, Johnson could fall to the fourth round. In the event that Johnson fell to the fourth round, he would be a steal for whichever team drafts him.

At Minnesota, Johnson was another receiver that flashed an ability to beat defenders down the field in college. To finish out his collegiate career, the senior wide receiver snagged 86 passes for 1,318 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2019.

Similar to most rookies, Johnson has a few aspects that he needs to work on — including his route running. In due time, Johnson could evolve into a fantastic offensive weapon for the Cowboys.
