4 perfect options for the Cowboys at No. 17 in the NFL Draft

4. Grant Delpit, Safety, LSU

Coming in fourth on this list is some help at the safety position, which the Cowboys tried to acquire ahead of the NFL trade deadline. Many will remember that Dallas was in serious talks with the New York Jets for a trade that would have brought in star safety Jamal Adams.

Obviously, that trade fell through which could lead the Cowboys to consider a safety at No. 17. Grant Delpit was a stud at LSU and ended the 2019 season with 65 total tackles to go along with two sacks, one forced fumble, two interceptions, and seven defended passes.

Delpit would be a solid addition for the Cowboys at No. 17. He has been connected with Dallas quite often so far throughout the draft process and for good reason.
