4 perfect targets for the Cleveland Browns in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft

USA TODAY Sports

Cesar Ruiz

If Cushenberry isn’t someone the Browns view themselves taking, they could have their sights set on other interior linemen. Even though he could be gone by the time Cleveland is on the clock, Cesar Ruiz is an absolute stud.

Similarly to Cushenberry, Ruiz spent the majority of his time as the starting center at Michigan. At Michigan, Ruiz was an absolute force when he had to put his head down and block the man in front of him.

When watching Ruiz, it’s evident that he’s got impressive athleticism that can be improved over time. Additionally, he excels in pass protection and is capable of quarterbacking an offensive line once he gets in the NFL.

Heading into next season, Cleveland needs to bulk up their offensive line. Whether they want to improve at center or guard, Ruiz would be a fantastic addition to the Browns.
