On the defensive side of the ball, the Browns are going to need to improve in the secondary. Furthermore, the safety positions need to be addressed with free agency looming.

Once the new league year begins, the Browns are in jeopardy of losing Damarious Randall and Eric Murray. Instead of attempting to replace them in free agency, Cleveland could be in a prime position to select a safety in the second round.

Aside from Xavier McKinney and Grant Delpit, not many safeties have gotten notoriety in this year’s class. With that being said, Ashtyn Davis out of California is a talented player in his own right.

Throughout his collegiate career at California, Davis was a high-motor player that improved in coverage as he got more experience. Davis is fearless in run support and the Browns could use someone like him on the backend of their defense.
