4 perfect targets for the Lions in the second round of the NFL Draft

1. Zack Baun, EDGE, Wisconsin

Finally, and the most perfect fit the Lions could find, Wisconsin edge rusher Zack Baun would be the ideal pick. He may not be available at No. 35, as he is rising up draft boards. If he is, the Lions shouldn’t think twice about pulling the trigger on him.

Baun put together a massive season in 2019 for the Badgers. He ended up with 76 total tackles, 12.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception, one defensive touchdown, and two defended passes.

Those numbers would translate well to the NFL. The Lions are a team in need of talent on the defensive side of the football and Baun has a ton of untapped potential. Detroit would be able to get the most out of him and see him develop into a star.
