4 perfect targets for the Los Angeles Chargers in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft

Cesar Ruiz

Aside from adding an offensive tackle, the Chargers could look to bolster their entire offensive line. Within the interior, Los Angeles is in jeopardy of losing Michael Schofield and Ryan Groy in free agency.

Due to a need on the interior offensive line, the Chargers could definitely be scouring the draft for some aid in the trenches. In light of that, Cesar Ruiz out of Michigan could be right up Los Angeles’ alley.

While at Michigan, Ruiz started the majority of his collegiate career at the center position. With a combination of power and versatility, Ruiz is capable of playing at any of the interior linemen spots.

Even if Schofield or Groy returns, the Chargers can add depth to the offensive line. Also, Ruiz could be the eventual replacement for Scott Quessenberry at center.
