Simply put, there’s absolutely no way the Dolphins should come out of the 2020 NFL Draft without a running back. Whether it’s in the first round or seventh, Miami needs to add someone to provide a spark in the backfield.

Ahead of the 2019 trade deadline, the Dolphins shipped Kenyan Drake to the Arizona Cardinals. As a result, they were left with Kalen Ballage and Patrick Laird as their featured backs.

Fortunately for the Dolphins, they should have a decent group of running backs to choose from in the second round. One of the most dynamic options is D’Andre Swift out of Georgia.

Despite playing in a run-oriented offense at Georgia, Swift is more than capable of being a receiver in an NFL offense. Adding Swift to their offense would give the Dolphins an every-down back for the future.
