4 potential wide receiver options for the New York Jets in free agency

2. Geronimo Allison, Green Bay Packers

One of the most sneaky wide receiver options on the free agent market, Geronimo Allison could be a huge addition for the Jets. After spending all four of his NFL seasons with the Green Bay Packers, Allison is finally getting a chance to test free agency.

In the 2019 season with Green Bay, Allison ended up catching 34 passes for 287 yards and two touchdowns. His role never materialized in Matt LaFleur’s offense, but his 6-foot-3 and 200-pound frame give hope of big potential.

Darnold needs raw talent and athleticism to throw to moving forward. Allison may not be an elite wide receiver right now, but he also has never had a real chance to show what he’s capable of. He has shown flashes of being a big-time threat and New York would be able to offer him the bigger role that he’ll be looking for this offseason.
