Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are fresh off of a brutal loss against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game by a final score of 37-20. While the loss stings, it still shows how close this team is to competing for a Super Bowl appearance.
Looking ahead to the upcoming NFL offseason, the Packers do have a few needs to address. One of those needs will be bringing in another wide receiver or two. Davante Adams is a legitimate superstar, but behind them there just weren’t any consistent options for Green Bay.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling simply did not have the breakout season that many were expecting. Allen Lazard showed potential, but he has no business being a No. 2 wideout on an NFL depth chart at this point. Jake Kumerow is a quality receiver, but again, he should not be relied upon week in and week out.
If the Packers want to improve their offense, they will need to look to free agency. Brian Gutekunst won’t have huge money to spend, unless he chooses to spend big on one particular player, but there are some great options available for the team to look at.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at four potential wide receivers the Packers should target in free agency.
