4 PPR Running Backs to Target Late in Your Fantasy Draft

Giovani Bernard – CIN

It is absolutely crazy that Bernard is going in the 10th round of PPR drafts. That’s RB43 according to Fantasy Pros consensus rankings.

For one, here’s how Bernard was the 28th RB in PPR scoring last year, and the 16th RB three years ago. To go as the 43rd running back is absolutely astounding. He might not have the highest of ceilings, but he has an incredibly high floor.

And unlike Sproles and Riddick, Bernard is only one injury away from a starting role in the offense. Sproles would need injuries to Ajayi, Clement and Smallwood. Riddick would need injuries to both Abdullah and Johnson, but even still is not likely to be trusted with a primary role. Bernard has shown an ability to be a team’s #1 running back, and if something were to happen to Joe Mixon, Bernard can immediately step up and make an impact.

Finally, a player that could see a massive uptick in playing time…
