Bears Have Only Beaten Bad Teams…And Not In Convincing Fashion

The first week began with the Bears looking very underwhelming on offense. It wasn’t until the fourth quarter that the Bears offense took off. Chicago took the lead in the fourth quarter.

However, they would have lost the game if not for a D’Andre Swift touchdown drop. The Bears could have lost to the Lions, and it could be Detroit we see as the surprising team in the NFC North instead of Chicago.

In week two, the Bears were going against a still winless Giants team. Chicago’s defense was dominant throughout the game. However, their offense could only muster a measly 17 points against a subpar Giants defense. The Bears offense did well in the first half but was scoreless in the second half. The Giants were close to a comeback win but came just short after a poor throw from Daniel Jones.

Last week against the Falcons, the Bears offense couldn’t move at all against a weak Falcons defense. However, Nick Foles came in and lit a fire under the Bears offense. The Falcons have been atrocious at holding leads this season. For the second week in a row the Falcons blew a fourth quarter lead over two touchdowns.

As inspiring as this win is, this one is more on the Falcons blowing another huge fourth-quarter lead. None of these wins were very convincing.
