The Browns will win this football game because they are playing at home on Thursday night. Of course, this system is not fool proof but over recent years, the home team has had plenty of luck playing on a short week.

In 2019, the home team won nine times on Thursday night including the final five games. The year before, the home team won four straight Thursday night games to begin the season and 10 overall over the course of the year.

The Browns were able to return home after Week 1 and they will not have to travel. The Bengals played at home against the Chargers but there is something about the trip on a short week that keeps teams off balance.

The first reason why the Browns will win the game has nothing to do with play on the field. It has to do with what field the game if played on.
