Dak Prescott Will Outclass Jared Goff

The Dallas Cowboys will be facing a tough defensive unit in the Los Angeles Rams, led by annual Defensive Player of the Year candidate Aaron Donald. However, expect Dak Prescott to shine at the start of what is a contract-year for the franchise-quarterback.

Let’s remember, it was a struggle for Jared Goff to make much of an impact against the Cowboys last season. He finished his performance after completing just 15-of-28 (53.6%) pass attempts for 186 yards and no touchdowns.

In all likelihood, the Cowboys will be a tougher team to go up against with Kris Richard no longer showing what pre-snap what the pass coverage intends to do. Overall, the adjustments should help Dallas to slow down Goff in his performance.

For Prescott, he wasn’t superb by any stretch of the imagination in his previous outing against the Rams but was certainly solid. He completed 15-of-23 (65.2%) pass attempts resulting in 212 yards and a pair of touchdowns. That should only improve with better coaching and more weapons.

When factoring in all that Prescott has to work with and what they have shown previously against the Rams, he should outperform Goff. Overall, the Cowboys’ offense should outproduce the opposition more than enough to get the win.
