4 reasons the New England Patriots will defeat the Broncos in Week 5

Heading into a Week 5 matchup in Foxboro, the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos both have quarterback questions.

For the Pats, Cam Newton, who has been fantastic to start off 2020, was held out of the Week 4 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs after testing positive for COVID-19. As a result, the tandem of Brian Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham dueled it out, but ultimately, they are backups for a reason as the offense sputtered in the 26-10 loss.

For the Broncos, it most likely will be Brett Rypien under center with Drew Lock still out. But Lock began practicing this week and has the potential to return. Rypien led the Broncos to their first win of the season, a 37-28 Thursday night win against the New York Jets.

The QB situation for both teams is one to keep an eye on and will be big factors in this game. But we see the Patriots’ defense keep them around while Rypien surprised some early in the Jets game before allowing New York back in the game late.

But let’s look ahead at this week and 4 reasons the New England Patriots will defeat the Broncos in Week 5.
