4 reasons the Seahawks will defeat the Falcons in Week 1

The Seattle Seahawks are coming off another very good season. However, it did not end with a championship and that is the goal this year. To start their season, the Seahawks will be facing the Atlanta Falcons in a bird-team battle that always is entertaining.

While the Seahawks were the more successful team last year, Atlanta should not be taken lightly. This should be a great matchup to start the season.

Last season was a bit of a let down for Atlanta, but they had a very busy offseason. The Falcons could be a dangerous sleeper team that could make a run for the playoffs. Seattle must contain this high octane Falcons offense with tons of star power.

The Seahawks’ defense has some star power of their own. These two teams match up very well on paper. While their defense has talent, it will be the offense that wins Seattle games this season.

Much of the offense is reliant on Pro-Bowl quarterback and MVP hopefuls Russell Wilson. Wilson is a dynamic QB that can make plays with his legs as well as his arm. He is one of the most intelligent quarterbacks in the league and a fantastic escape artist. His star power will be on display from the jump, and Atlanta will have trouble containing him.

The first week of NFL football always has a ton of surprises. This year we may have more surprises than ever. Atlanta is a team that is full of talent. However, Seattle will be just a bit too much to handle this early in the year.

With that, let’s take look at four reasons why the Seattle Seahawks will defeat the Atlanta Falcons in this Week 1 match.
