The Offense Will Grow

It’s no secret that Baker Mayfield struggled last season. Year 2 as the starter was set to be his breakout year with Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry, and Nick Chubb as his disposal but all did not go as planned. However, 2019 should serve as a learning experience.

Last season, the Browns finished the year ranked 22nd in passing yards and 12th in rushing. What they will look forward to this coming season is a full year with Chubb and Kareen Hunt in the backfield together to go with their lethal core of receivers.

If Mayfield can improve on his decision-making, cut down on his turnovers, and improve on his completion percentage of 59.4, the Browns’ offense will be top 5 in the NFL in 2020. Now that they have a good TE in Austin Hooper and have addressed their Offensive Line issues, this could be a season to remember.
