4. Chase Claypool, Notre Dame
There is a good chance that Chase Claypool will be available late in the second round or even early in the third. If that is the case, he would make a lot of sense for the Jets with the No. 68 overall pick of the NFL Draft.
Claypool is a huge target at 6-foot-4 and nearly 230 pounds. He caught 66 passes for 1,037 yards and 13 touchdowns last season with the Fighting Irish.
New York could target a big body like Claypool to play opposite of Perriman. He may not be a speedster, but he has solid speed and athleticism. If he is available in the third round, the Jets should strongly consider taking him.
Claypool not a burner?!?! Didn’t he run a 4.4 40 year dash?
Exactly Chris.4.49 I think he clocked…Fast enough…Paired w/Perriman,Crowder&Herndon…I think Sam would dig that…
And take ”Any” of the BIG4 lineman…Then “Double up” on
WR&OL Later on and we solidify both positions…
Then next year Target Edge and DB…
@evanmassey you hit the nail right on the head with this article. I loved it and I truly hope that the Jets wind up with either Lamb or Jeudy after it’s all said and done! Thanks again for the article!
