4 wide receivers the Redskins should be watching at the NFL Draft Combine

Matt Cashore-USA TODAY Sports

4. Chase Claypool, Notre Dame

First up on the list is a target that the Redskins could be able to snag in the third or fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Chase Claypool won’t be talked about as an elite wide receiver prospect, but he could be a mid-round pickup that makes a difference.

Claypool is coming off of a season with the Fighting Irish that saw him catch 66 passes for 1,037 yards and 13 touchdowns. Those numbers show the potential that he brings to the field. Washington would be wise to take a long look at him.

Standing in at 6-foot-4 and nearly 230 pounds, Claypool is a huge threat. He could even turn into a tight end. That kind of size and athleticism is hard to come by and the Redskins could use some of it.
