No. 1: TE George Kittle
Six catches on eight targets for 125 receiving yards and one touchdown
This was tight end George Kittle’s breakout game. The former Iowa Hawkeye came into this game with an already impressive stat line of 12 catches for 191 yards. But he struggled at times with catching the ball, as he had a few drops along the way.
However now, the Iowa University product is coming off of the best game of his career. He scored his first touchdown of the season and set a new career-high in receiving yards.
His biggest play was on an 82-yard catch-and-run for a touchdown in the third quarter that kept the game close for the 49ers when they were down 17-26 to the Chargers:

Kittle’s big play will likely continue with the improved play of his former college teammate, Beathard, throwing to him. Now the second-year tight end will show the league why he’s poised to be one of the next big names at his position.
